This is the official announcement for all my Twitter, Facebook, and bloggy friends!

We are due October 17, 2009.

I am sorry I haven’t been able to tell some of you, especially those who have asked me straight up “hey, are you pregnant”? I believe I told you “we are trying and we will let you know”. I want you to know I did not want to be deceptive, but Christian and I made the decision together that we were not comfortable telling everyone until we were safely out of the first trimester. It’s a safety thing, and a peace of mind thing. We hope that you are not insulted or offended, we did not intend to be hurtful.

We will be giving birth at the Birth and Women’s Center here in Dallas.
All of my prenatal care will be done there, and I will be giving birth naturally with their help. I’d strongly encourage you to visit their web site. We heard the heartbeat there on Monday! It sounded nice and strong to us! They were so nice and let us come in and hook up to the machine even though our official appointment wasn’t until next week!

We will not be finding out the gender.
Just think how fun it is going to be to announce the birth – it will be the first time anyone knows the gender, including us!

Yes, we will be doing cloth diapering.
I am sure if you follow this blog, you saw that one coming. I will make sure to blog about it.

Yes, this is why I haven’t blogged much lately.
Most days I have been so tired I feel like a truck hit me. And when I am not tired I have been nauseated. Nausea – it’s not just for mornings! But I think that in this 12th week it is getting better.

I will do a follow-up post tomorrow with more answers to any questions. Feel free to leave any other questions for me in the Comments and I’ll include those answers in the next post.
