It’s that time again, KRLD’s Restaurant Week where some of the most famous restaurants in Dallas have prix fixe menus for much cheaper than usual so that people like us can have a 5 course meal at a place we couldn’t normally afford, and donate a portion of the proceeds to the North Texas Food Bank.
We are excited to have reservations at Shinsei tomorrow night, an Asian fusion restaurant that is right down the street from the apartment we lived in for the first 2 years of our marriage. It is owned by the wife of Kent Rathbun (Iron Chef competitor), who I also worked with at Park Place Dealerships when I worked there (although I am 100% sure she would not remember me – I was a marketing peon and she was the General Manager of the Porsche dealership). We always wanted to go but thought it might be too expensive so we haven’t. Tomorrow should be fun!
J, I was never a big wig…as my husband says, we are all just cogs in the wheel. I hope you have a great dinner and say hi to me! Tracy
