I’ve been working on booking travel this week using award miles and boy, is that weird. One day there were the exact flights we wanted, the next day no flights at all left, and the day after there were new flights available at different times. What??
Dave Ramsey would be mad, but we could have saved more money on these flights if I hadn’t cut off our credit card usage when we got laid off. This is the first time I’ve had to buy extra miles to purchase award travel (but it was still about $500 cheaper than buying the tickets without award miles). I just get nervous using the credit card when income is variable even though we pay it off every 10 days or so.
Have I mentioned that I am so over working nights? I just want to be able to stop working when Christian comes home and spend time with my two favorite boys, and maybe even get to put the baby to bed myself for once (although admittedly Christian does a much better job – Little Sir laughs his head off and has a great time at bathtime with Daddy, but with Mommy he just kind of stares like “What are you doing in here?”). We are working on changing the schedule but it is apparently a long and convoluted process at my work. Good times.
Also, all the crazy people come out at work after 6PM. I am not even kidding. I have had more people curse at me for no reason at all after 6PM when I am going as fast as I can and trying to help them. And it’s not even after 6PM for them, because they’re on the West Coast.
OK, that is not really all – do you know about Simple Shoes? They make sustainable, vegan, eco-friendly shoes out of recycled materials. And they are cute, too. Christian has about 3-4 pairs of the guys shoes and they look very nice.*
I am currently basking in the wonder of a clean house which I did not clean. I will be telling you more about the Eco-Maids next week, and you better listen, because they are awesome.
Well that’s all for this week, be sure to visit Conversion Diary for links to more 7 Quick Takes Fridays.
* I was not paid to mention Simple Shoes but I WOULD LOVE FOR THEM TO GIVE ME SOME FREE SHOES!!! Are you listening, Simple Shoes??
Those SimpleShoes ARE very cute. I had never heard of them before. I like them in black, too.
