Here we are again for 7 Quick Takes Friday .
The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics is releasing a series of videos aimed at educating the public regarding the ingredients of our personal care products and who is regulating what goes into them (care to guess?). Check it out and share it!
There are members of my family who have already lost a bet regarding when we are going to be giving birth to this baby. Sorry, everyone, haven’t even had any “real” contractions yet! I can get up from modified bed rest tomorrow (Saturday) – woo hoo!! Hopefully I will have more to blog about when I am up and out again! One potential topic is the natural postpartum recipes that our Bradley instructor gave us. They sound like a great idea, I just need to get to HerbMart to purchase the appropriate herbs.
I love Amazon.com for many reasons. I ordered all the rest of my missing things this week and now I feel ready to have this baby! Ordering online with free SuperSaver shipping is a beautiful thing.
Another thing I am thankful for: Morningstar veggie products. These have been a lifesaver this week in pre-prepared foods, which I generally would not advocate, but they are a good alternative to microwave meals.
To maid or not to maid? We have talked about whether or not to hire a green maid service for the postpartum period. I know my mom will be here the second week of the baby’s life and that will be great, but do I need to call the Nature Maids for the subsequent weeks? Any of you moms have any suggestions there? Do you think they’d trade a discount for a blog review?!
Another awesome thing this week: Law & Order marathons on USA! Mostly old SVU episodes. Old episodes of Law & Order: Criminal Intent come on first, but I don’t like it as much as SVU. This has really helped to pass the time. I switch over to Oprah when the NCIS marathon starts at 4 PM. My life is so exciting.
Another awesome fun video for your viewing pleasure, in the words of the creator “A musical tribute to two great men of science. Carl Sagan and his cosmologist companion Stephen Hawking present: A Glorious Dawn – Cosmos remixed“.
Someone has autotuned speeches from Carl Sagan and Stephen Hawking. If you know me well, you know I am obsessed with anything involving autotuner. This is one of my favorites!
Well that’s all for this week, be sure to visit Conversion Diary for links to more 7 Quick Takes Fridays.
